As we enter the New Year the requirement for a fully manned Recce Squadron to support the 2010 Olympics becomes ever closer. To fulfill this task Recce Squadron ran several PCF’s during February and March.

There wasn't any snow this year for Christmas but that didn't keep Santa away from FOB Ma’Sum Ghar. Boxes of goodies for the soldiers of A sqn were given out on Christmas Eve.

I had successfully become trade qualified, and earned the honour of being badged. This now meant having to leave CFB Gagetown, and report myself to Lord Strathcona’s Horse (Royal Canadians) at CFB Edmonton. This situation, though exciting.....

Fresh back from holidays and all rested up, C Sqn deployed to Fort Bliss, Texas for Exercise REFLEXE AGUERRI. It all started early Sunday morning when we flew from Edmonton to El Paso, Texas, where we received a safety brief on all the ticks, spiders....

The year of 2009 kicked off with Recce Sqn taking part in the Brigade Winter Mobility training at Castle Mountain located in the Albertan Rockies. Five serials of this course were planned with Reconnaissance Squadron making up the majority.....
