Greetings and Salutations

October 2002

With another APS season behind us we look around only to discover a lot of new faces.  The Quartermaster Troop (QM Tp) had a significant change over this year with a new QM, RQ, TQ and Chief Cook all arriving at the same time.  Those fortunate few, Sgt Dean Martin and MCpl Donald Cormier, had the immense task of introducing all the newcomers to the workings of the QM Tp and the Regiment.  With B SQN out the door for Roto11 in Bosnia, C SQN juggling livelihoods to gear up for their deployment on Roto 12 and RECCE SQN finalizing its leave, after completion of Roto 0 in Afghanistan, the challenges of providing integral support remain the same.

For now portions of the QM Tp will gear up to support the Regimental Gun Camp in WX and then on to Suffield for exercise PACING RAM while the TQ shop maintains its focus on sorting out numerous equipment issues.  With the slow disposal of the M-113 fleet to all places great and small across Canada, the pending arrival of six new LAV IIIs, and continual upgrades to the TCCCs equipment, the TQ shop will not be seeking additional taskings anytime in the near future.
