June 2003

Since our last update time has flown by within the Troop.  Our once new crew now work together well as a team assuring from time to time that a practical joke is played in order to maintain a welcomed sense of comic relief.  Over the last year we’ve had a chance to fly our flag on two occasions, once in Suffield for a Bde exercise and then again in Wainwright while supporting 2 Bde on their BTE.  (What fun that was!)  While in Garrison we’ve managed to annoy the Signals world to no end by completing endless counts on Legacy Comms and then the TQ side continues to make life for the Sqns difficult while trying to adjust the current Regimental fleet to reflect what the Equipment Rationalization Programs says we are suppose to have.  While Regimental personnel continue to think we take pure pleasure in causing them grief, little do they know that

these projects have caused us the same level of grief or more.

Whether supporting the needs of the Regiment or our fellow RCDs the experiences have been great

over the last year and the Troop is looking forward to a hopeful lull during the July and August time frame.  Whether our dream comes true is yet to be seen.  On behalf of the Troop, I’d like to wish the best of luck to all those personnel leaving.
