Lord Strathcona's Horse (Royal Canadians)

Captain Manouchehri joined the Canadian Forces in 1997 following two years of study and the Universities of Western Ontario and Alberta. Upon graduation from the Royal Military College in 2001, he was posted to Lord Strathcona’s Horse (Royal Canadians) in Edmonton, Alberta.

During his first Regimental tour (2001-2005), Captain Manouchehri was employed as an Armoured Reconnaissance Troop Leader with C Squadron and deployed to Bosnia in 2003. Upon redeployment and a short stint as the Assistant Adjutant, he was attached to Headquarters 1 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group as the Personal Assistant to the Commander. In the summer of 2004, Captain Manouchehri deployed on short notice to Kabul, Afghanistan as the Reconnaissance Squadron Liaison Officer. During his second Regimental tour (2007-present), Captain Manouchehri deployed to Kandahar Afghanistan as the Tank Squadron Battle Captain for B Squadron, Second Battalion Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry Battle Group.

Captain Manouchehri’s extra-Regimental employment was to the Armour School in Gagetown New Brunswick as an instructor.

Captain Manouchehri has a BA in Political Science and Economics from the Royal Military College. He is a graduate of the Army Operations Course.

Captain Manouchehri assumed his present position as the Regimental Adjutant in July 2009.

Captain Manouchehri is single and enjoys all things cross-fit, even though it makes him ill.
