Unit Medical Station
Cpl G.V. Morris October 2004
The LdSH(RC) UMS has undergone quite the facelift in these last few months. Sgt Dominix and MCpl Moore have left to share their knowledge at the Canadian Forces Medical Services School in Borden, Ontario. MS Tait is our new 2I/C UMS, MCpl Mackay is back from course in BC with his new promotion. Cpl Hickling and Cpl Morris join to support A and B Squadrons, Cpl Davies is off to Bosnia, and LS Eis has left to develop new medics at 1 Field Ambulance since Recce Squadron's deployment to Afghanistan. To complement our new troop, Pte Banting and Pte Mikkelson are diligently perfecting our transport and supply, while OS Lavoie from the clinic is joining us for EX Prairie Ram. Our newest member, Pte Abdou, will take over Pharmacy while we bid farewell to Cpl Circe as she leave the Forces to pursue full-time school. The familiar leadership of PO2 VanOuwerkerk has orchestrated these smooth transitions. With fresh new faces and a busy schedule providing coverage for Regimental training activities, tasks with 1 Field Ambulance, and patient care at the clinic, the UMS and its members are committed to providing the best possible support to LdSH(RC).
